With 7 months notice who thinks they would be able to, or care to attend a Private AK Party in South Florida at my place? :music:

Please forgive my ignorance, but South Florida means closer to Miami than Orlando?
I have relatives in Tampa.
I have never visited them. (yet?)

unfortunately I had to check no interest just because I couldn't afford to fly down from Mt to fla as much as I want to, let alone the fact that I would have to turn to a life of crime to even begin to assemble a system like yours.
I don't even dare gaze upon your collection lest I begin to tremble and drool.

It's all good, I'm just taking a pulse to see if it would be worth it. I know everyone is scattered all over the World.
If we do have a get together, I will get some of Mac's Brass to attend. Maybe we can get some party favor's from them. :scratch2:

Depends what movie you're showing.
No, just kidding! That'd be rude.
Real answer: I wish. But probably can't do it any time soon -- my bandmates would kill me if I took time off that wasn't devoted to making music.

or a Ferrari ?
Kidding aside, what an opportunity to see a great system.

That is an offer that may be too good to pass up. It would be great to be able to put faces and voices to some of the great people on this forum. :)
I voted "would try to attend" at this point I would call it 50/50.

Redeye, in and out, this could be do-able.
I would LOVE to see your system, home, cars, and, most of all, to shake your hand, and raise a glass to you.

Ivan, I would loooove to come!
Grumpy just posted the dates for AK Fest 2007, March 24/25. Right after that, there's the dreaded April 15th, when the IRS seizes all our spending money.
When would "7 months from now" fall, exactly?

My wife works for the Hyatt reservation center here in Omaha NE...
She/we get free comp rooms at the Hyatt hotels and resorts (nice perk I know  ).
She loves to go to Florida (she'd move there if given the chance), is there a Hyatt anywhere
near where you're at? :scratch2:
Wouldn't have any trouble getting it past the wife, problem would be the price of airline tickets
around that time... could be do-able... :scratch2:

Can I vote 2 and 3 as I am already getting signs of addiction.
I may be over in the US in April on business and might be able to 'bend' the itenary to come to a party, party. Certainly would be worthwhile and I believe you have a nice car collection  It would be interesting to see what a big Porsche looks like compared to my small Porsche.
When I was last over friends told me that it was cheaper for me to fly from the UK to the US than for some of them to fly internally in the US; crazy.
And as they say over Thanks Geezer :thmbsp:

I would love to see such a system, and being lucky enough to only live about 3 hrs. North of you in the Melbourne area, I'd be thrilled to partake in a visit/party/happening! I must admit that I'm afraid that the addiction might very well rub off too, but I'll have a great reason to live after your party
It's a wonderful offer, and I for one, would love very much to see a "real" system that is never going to be possible in any dealers showroom :thmbsp:
It truly is a work of art, what you've been able to put together, and I would be honored to attend. You have put together what few, if any, have been able to do, and I sure wouldn't want to miss such an offer of kindness and true love of this hobby/addiction/obsession that we all have in common. :ntwrthy:

 Masterlu, A very generous and gracious offer. I will certainly attend as long as the timing works out schedule wise. I wouldn't miss the opportunity to take in all your hard work and dedication to our hobby (er ah addiction) May I be so bold to ask if the wife can come also. I've shown her pictures of your room and she was very impressed, but was quick to add - Don't you Dare! :scratch2:

I'm a relative newcomer to AK, but I've got a location in Ft. Lauderdale that's available to me.
Given the time of the gathering, I'd easily jump on a plane for this, if invited.

Great, I can't wait to go to Disney and Seaworld.
We're not going for that. Masterlu has a Mac setup that is out of this world. Look at these pictures. Look at those beautiful VU meters. Honey, honey where you going?
Thanks for the generous offer but probably would not make it.

masterlu,
I am a relative newbie to AK and am enjoying it. I would love to see your system that I can only dream about owning at this time, but I won't be able to make it. I'm getting married next year and just got a house this year so money is going elsewhere. :sigh:
Maybe I'll be able to attend a future party, and maybe I'll have a Mac of my own to talk about by then. :music:
Thanks for the generous offer and take care.

I'm overdue for a vacation. Florida is always nice in spring. Masterlu has a kick-ass home theater and he is inviting to his private party. Looks like all the stars are beginning to align. :D

Masterlu, might you have horses? If you have horses my wife would see to it that we would be there. We used to own horses but had to give it up for now. She loves horses like I love Mac. If not, might there be a horse wranch of a friend of yours close by? That would also work. Having a look at that Mac system of yours is like the 8th wonder of the world for us Mac folks.
Can you rent a horse for the weekend? C'mon, help a fella out. :D

I can picture it now. Luther ushers the BoD into masterlu's HT venue, and presents the annual report on the astounding McIntosh system. Can you see a roomful of jaded executive types, mouths agape, and eyes bugging out, in awe of the experience?
"Management recommendations are all ratified? Thank you, gentlemen, for your time. This concludes our report. See you next year."

Looks like it would be too difficult to orchestrate a Party for a group since we are scattered about the Country.
Next best idea is to have kind of an open house for AK'rs that visit So Florida. I have had numerous PM's requesting a private listening/viewing.
So, make sure we have communicated via PM a few times so I get to know who's who.
I have made quite a few upgrades for those who have even been here last May, you will be very impressed!
Looking forward to Meeting some of you :thmbsp:
