I recently purchased a Marantz 2265B European model with the black face and silver dial in really excellent condition. Can anyone give me any info on how rare these might be? I have never seen one before in the states.
Thanks!

Hey eddgie,
It helps to introduce yourself first...
As for the blacked faced Marantz it's relatively rare. Value wise only a bit more and only to a collector who is collecting black faced models. But I've seen a number of them and prefer the silver faced ones myself. They usually get brought back over from servicemen stationed in Europe.
Cheers and welcome to AK.

Thanks for the response.
Apologies on the intro. I did not know it was a custom.
Not much to say.. Just a vintage hi-fi fan. I usually buy something that I like and use it for a while, then sell and buy something else. I haven't owned Marantz before, but always said I would try them.
Again, thanks for the response. I appreciate it.
