Dropped the wife off at work this AM. On the way home, I saw a garage sale sign. Stopped for the heck of it.

Found a Marantz trio; 3200 Pre-amp, 104 Tuner, 140 Amp. Original boxes, manuals as well. :thmbsp: Condition about a 7 OR 8 out of 10. Had to buy a set of Celestion Ditton 22s as well. Package deal: all or none. Speakers are in quite reasonable shape. Orig asking price was $xxx for the set, haggled down to $xx (Cdn$). Good or bad price? I am asking, because, as most of you know, I normally buy only one brand (any guesses?). I know next to nothing about anything else out there.

Have to admit, the blue lights look kinda cool.

Cheers,
Joe

Probably worth close to ten times what you paid - especially with original boxes and manuals. Why can't I ever find garage sales like that??

The tuner which is the least expensive out of the lot, alone is worth the original asking price in $US. Great buy for some great classic Marantz.

Welcome to Marantz!

What a great buy! Excellent all Marantz setup and a good price too! You could buy a lot of h/k gear for what they're worth... :D Those speakers shouldn't be too bad either.
