I was thinking about getting this Amp. What do you all think of it any issues it may have and what do you think of the sound.

My guess is it will be well built and sound great. If the price is right, grab them. - Pete Duffinator 10-19-2006, 10:43 AM Has a similar look to the Professional series and there is a tuner that matches it. Here's a picture (http://www.sansui.us/images/AU7700_Series/au7700_1.jpg) of it and a link (http://www.sansui.us/Amplifiers.htm) to the Sansui site. If it's around a $100 and works go for it. I had an AU-666 and it was a very nice amp for 35 wpc. Would have been a nice amp for some Klipsch or Altec speakers, or maybe even some JBL's! Pioneer727 10-19-2006, 11:25 AM Thanks Gents I do like its looks and features and at 54 watts not bad on the power scale. I also like the simple design inside none of the complexity of the later units.I think I will get it wish me luck. Now to get a service manual LOL This will make my 3rd Sansui G-7700 8080 Ron Duffinator 10-19-2006, 11:31 AM This will make my 3rd Sansui G-7700 8080 RonLooks like you are going to have to change your forum name soon. Pioneer727 10-19-2006, 12:08 PM As you can see I also own 3 Pioneers guess I am sitting on a fence But its all good LOL  Ron jlevinepstein 10-19-2006, 01:05 PM I have an AU-7500 (the previous model, 40wpc) that I purchased in 1973 (recommended as a substitute for the AR amplifier that had just been discontinued). It had some issues that were resolved back then (under warranty) and was in regular use until 1993. It went into less than museum quality storage for 12 years and was recently put back into harness. It sounds great and has tons of power. Assuming there are no issues (decayed caps, gremlins) you'll love this thing. They made things to last back then. Enjoy.
