I know they are not vintage, but they sound wonderful. The speaker I am speaking of is the Cambridge Soundworks Model 6. http://www.hifi.com/store/category.cgi?category=spk_bookshelf&item=c1m6xkprx I have had them for a month and have listened to them on new and vintage gear and they sound great. They sound very much in line with my brothers Small Advents and KLH 17s. The Model 6 was designed by Henry Kloss, and is the same design, but with an 8" woofer, instead of a 12" one. It is acoustic suspension which IMHO, is the best way to produce bass. It is a smooth, warm sound, that is not peaky. Also the treble is rolled off, and that is to my liking. You can get them refurbed off Ebay for 90 dollars. I love mine so much I thought I would share.
