I just picked up a Krell KAV-250 cd player and it doesn't recognize the disc when inserted. The disc spins, the laser moves into place but never seems to read the info on the disc and plays. Thus far, Krell has not responded to emails.

Anyone out there with suggestions or experience with these?

Burned out laser - very common. Good luck on replacing it. IIRK it uses the Phillips/Magnavox type laser assembly - same as the early McIntosh 7000. Virtually unobtanium. Good luck. Hope you can fix it.
