If any of you like to hear that smoky-club-sounding, Coltrane, Davis - inspired instrumental jazz then you should listen to Jessica Williams. I first discovered her a few months ago and picked up her album entitled

Live at Yoshi's Volume 2

In my opinion each odd-numbered song is fantastic....I have had people ask me who is playing....that's a good sign. She is an incredible pianist.

Go the Amazon and give a listen to some of the links, and if you like it and know of similar sounds from other artists, please chime-in.

I couldn't agree more. What a talent. She puts so many different emotions in her playing. I like her interpretation of "When I Fall In Love".

On her web site there are lot's of samples and even some full songs to download. Also, you can get the NPR interviews. http://www.jessicawilliams.com.
