It seems I have touched on some feelings with what should have been a thread about laughing at ourselves, myself included. Upon saying that if one cannot laugh at themself, then I feel sorry for them, as if one cannot recognize themselves in our world and place themselves so above it, then let them do so. As for me, I recognize where my roots are , I grew up in rural America and can appreciate friendly humor when and where it is placed. I have seen numerous jokes about Texas, yet I take it in light of what it is HUMOR. I aint flaming, jus tryin' ta git ma point akross.............

brown13, I'm from Nawth Caruliiiinah, and I thought it was just fine.

There is some meaningful comedy out there that relies on stereotypes to make its point. The "Kentucky Thread" was not one of those. :nono:

Still funny, though. I think that guy is my neighbor. No wait, that's my Nephew. Maybe it's HIS neighbor. :scratch2: Noooooo... that's my Uncle. Maybe it's his neighbor... oh wait, that's my Grandma's house. Well anyway, it was funny. :D

brown13, thanks for the apology.

Nothing wrong here, but I'm closing this thread in recognition of the fact that the original one was closed with a final post from our founder, and that his point was that enough had been said on both sides of the topic.
