For a friend today. With things being as dry as they have been for me lately I was thrilled to get it. With it I also got an old Philco tube AM radio, bakelite box etc. Also he gave me this lil reel to reel Awia portable tape player. It's rather kewl in a way. Got a carrying strap of the same color. On the strap is a lil pouch to carry your ear phone. Can you imagine it in it's time? Somebody prolly thought they were real state of the art with this portable tape player. In fact, they were! ;)

Well called the Needle doctor and got a new stylus coming for this Sony. Old one is all grunged up and when I popped it under the scope it looked like it had seen better days. So for the price of a stylus my friend can spin their old vinyl. This TT will work good enough for them.

It's funny how people are getting interested in this again. More and more friends hear of me spinning vinyl and they are dragging out all thier old LPs and looking for something to play them on.

Hey from the look of that R to R you should have started with "Good morning Mr. Phelps"! (I mean Peter Graves, not that young kid) That's is cool. Watch that tape, it may self destruct in 30 seconds!
I know what you mean about the TTs. I'm giving my old Yamaha P-520, with manual and new stylus to an old friend so he can resurrect his vinyl.
