can the printing be replaced on these...?

on the back where the spec's are printed, has rubbed off.

perhaps by sending it to Mac....?

I have often wondered about this very question myself. My guess is if your willing to spend enough $$$ then you can anything done.

The printing on a McIntosh chassis is done when the chassis is empty before the unit is built. I do not know of any other way to do this. In Asia some resto shops will strip the amps down, recrome them and run new silkscreens. It would be cheaper to just find a mint amp in most cases.

Yea very true, the silk screens I've seen at places like mcintoshaudio are $1200 a set. :eek:
