This is a pretty quick question: Does the Beatles' "In My Life" exist on 45 single, either as an A or B-side? I got a friend of mine into vinyl and he really wants that song now, but neither of us have been able to find it.
I might just end up getting him a copy of Rubber Soul for Christmas, in lieu of the single, maybe try and go for a first pressing even, but now I'd like to know if there even is a single of that song.

Not sure if this is the song on 45 rpm.

I Googled "beatles singles" and checked a half-dozen sites...CANNOT find "In My Life".

"Got to get you into my life" was the closest word match when I entered it into an ebay search.

Just looked through my Goldmine for American Records and show no listing. Perhaps an import if one's out there. Sorry I couldn't help.

Checked several online discographies (including Wikipedia's and a pretty comprehensive bootleg list) and don't find it listed. Started checking the Guiness Book of Rock Stars listing, which I've always found exhaustive (good researchers), but at 6-1/2 pages of very fine print, give me another day to finish checking. At this point, I suspect it was never released on a single.

Yeah, I figure if it's that much trouble to find a Beatles record, especially with eBay, it prolly doesn't exist. No big deal, at least it's some finality in the search.
Thanks guys.

Get him an original UK Revolver on the yellow & black Parlophone label. The ones that end in the -2 matrix number sound good, real good.
Not sure what they go for these days. Try ebay UK

Kind of off-topic, but I must say that the "Paperback Writer/Rain" 45 rpm may be the best 45 ever.

The record he's looking for is "In My Life." It is NOT "Got to Get You Into My Life." Those are two completely different songs.
