I know that this might aught to be in the video section but both seem to lack from participation.
Definatly a pre-meditated post.

I really did not care for "Little Nicky" my favorite Sandler movie is a tie between "Billy Madison" and "Happy Gilmore" ;)

MY favorite movie of all time is a tie between "Highlander" and "Conan The Barbarian"

I kind of thought the compilation album he was working on might have tilted Little Nicky in your favour. I watched Conan again about 6 months ago. It was made like a Bible story movie. Still liked it mucho but got some chuckles out of it that weren't there when it was new.
Way off topic, I have a real handforged thousand fold Japanese Katana as well as an old Japanese calvery saber from the from the war they fought with Russia round the turn of the last century. Cold steel movies are high on my list for excitement.
I am getting a bit picky when it comes to sound tracks. DTS has really spoiled me. I feel sorry for people with puny surrounds for watching great action movies. Feeling the big bass from all directions as well as the cool directional sound effects really do it.
In the Gladiator when the Romans were kicking the hell out of the German tribesmen hearing the flight of the arrows and the Greek fire from the catapolts was awsome.
No offence to you Angela, you just don't have the room.
I am looking foreward to Wind Talkers coming out on DVD. I saw that on a 150' wide lozenge screen with some real kicker speakers behind the screen. When the battle ships were firing salvos it would knock you back into your seat!
Almost as much fun as drag racing muscle cars in the early 70s.

The music in little nicky was great and the two headbanging guys are the highlight of the movie.

I love the music in both highlander and Conan, I actually made a mistake because as of this year "Lord of the Rings" became my favorite movie of all time. I saw it 4 times in the theaters. I have a thing for swords and sorcery movies and books.

I bought one of those cards at Block Buster for $25 that gets me a rental a week for 10 weeks and a LOR DVD. I read those books more than once and even though it had been over 25 years since reading them the details were really astonishing. Little things like the elf walking on top of the snow etc, as well as the dialog being right on the mark for squeezing a 20 hour read into a 2.5 hour movie. I think the release is in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to get it home and fire up the gear.
I might go out to Mesquite today to a new AV store that just opened. They have some really cool dig TVs without attached speakers and seemed to have the full line of Mirage speaks from those Hosers. I just have to check those out.
For our Canadian brethren, I just loved the McKenzie Bros 30 years ago and haven't gotten out of my system yet,

I agree there is no way to fit each part of the trilogy and remain mostly true to them without making them 3 hour movies, I heard some grumble about the length while I was at the movie and all I can say is I would loved for it to have been 4 hours long, I love long books and long movies ;)

The Blade II DVD should be out soon too huh? If you haven't seen it check it out it rocked.

Blade was a real thrill ride. Loved the scene in the packing house! I didn't catch 2 on screen or hear about it but it will be pounding my senses when the DVD comes out.
Other than the fact that the devil loving guys were actors they could have been any number of friends I had in high school. I had Lead Z at 14 years old and Black Sabbath at 15. I was so stupid it took me years to figure out that those expensive earphones I got for Christmas weren't really for me.
Now I get to shake the house till all the cats run outside just for fun. The shootem up scene in the Matrix usually does that trick.

Thatch Blade 2 is 10 times better than the first one! It will blow your mind. The baddies in it are so nasty, they still give me the creeps.

"In the Gladiator when the Romans were kicking the hell out of the German tribesmen hearing the flight of the arrows and the Greek fire from the catapolts was awsome".

LOL funny you mention that scene. It is one of my favorite scenes to display to folks the real definition of what DTS 5.1 surround sound is all about. Great scene for it!

I love action! The lobby scene of Matrix always gets me and my firends give me the "Holy Sh#t" when the elevator door blows out and the fire flows out. The dual 18" sing with that low frequency and shake the house. :D

GE M134 Minigun gives me wood. From Predator to Matric those puppies sings! :D

The opening scene to The Replacement Killers is great. Crank of the system and let the Crystal Method rock and the guns a blazin. John Woo is my hero!:D

I could go on and on.

No way the McKenzie Bros was 30 years ago?!!
That was some great, hilarious TV. No way 30 years ago, really??
Dang it, I thought it was just gravity ...

Bull,
OK 20 years ago. Hoser.

Really like the new sound remastered edition of Predator! And I often watch the lobby scene through to the end of the copter crash scene in Matrix just for an adrenalin rush.
The " I love the smell of napalm in the morning" starting with the turning on of the music. Wow!
Anybody watched the DVD of Altered States? I know I loved it in the theater, not that the funny cigarette had anything to do with it. Lots of bangs and booms in it. Wondering if it gives the system a good work out.

Predator is another of my all time favorites!

I like the first big battle scene in "Braveheart" the one where they spear the horses, that is an awsome scene to play thru the ole surrounf sound!
