I posted this in dollars and sense a few days ago but didnt get much info so I reposted here. Not really wanting to know what its worth but just some general information.
I probably over paid, but I am in need of a turntable and was looking for a very nice linear tracker. What do you think? Its ok if I did, cause Im sure I'm going to enjoy this baby. It just looks damn cool sitting on its stand too! How does it hold up against the SL-10 and Pioneer's PL-L1000?

I haven't actually listened to one, but I have talked with some people who have, and they say that its a very good turntable, perhaps a little better musically than an SL-10.

It looks good, and I'm quite pleased with my SL-5 even with the cheap AT cartridge that came on it.
Also, your link doesn't seem to work.
Here's a couple of informational links on the SL-7.

Agreed- I loooooove the Technics linear trackers. Sure, they're DD w/P-mounts, so most people sneer at them. But they were well made, attractive, had some nice feaures and they DO sound pretty good.

OK, in doing some research after reading this post, I must ask: what is the difference between the SL-5, 6, 7, 10 & 15? I notice that only the 6 (which is what I own) and the 15 seem to have track selection. I'm sure there are other differences between all these, but what are they? The only other model I've used is an SL-5, a LOOOOOOONG time ago.

If you take a look at the manuals at Vinyl Engine, you can compare the different features, but from what I've read, the SL-10 was the best, until the SL-7 came out which was even better. The SL-7 is supposedly Technics' best linear tracker.
