I have a 9090db that blew all four of the ten amp fuses, and toasted some
resistors on the board labeled F-2624. I am the original owner, and really
feel like I lost a good friend. Is there someone near the San Francisco bay
area that I could trust to restore it to working condition. I really would like
an idea on what it might cost. (A general Guess?)
I also have a QR-4500 that the right channel is very faint. How hard is it to troubleshoot/fix something like this. I am a Commercial Electrician and have a pretty good general knowledge of electronic components. Any help on these
subjects would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, RixxFixx

Fred Longworth, a member here, and a site sponsor, has a repair business in the San Diego area. He can point you in the right direction. There's a banner at the bottom of this page for Classic Audio Repair. I think that's his place. Good luck, and welcome to AK!

The QR-4500 probably just needs to be cleaned with deoxit. It usually takes a little disassembly to get to the pots and switches but isn't a big job.

The 9090DB will need much more help. If it is blowing the fuses on the power supply board, you probably also have blown output transistors. When they go, they often take the driver transtors on that F2624 board with them.
