Why not group everything into one of three catagories:

General Audio

Vintage

Off Topic

Most things can fall into those categories. I thought this place was created for vintage guys anyway. Why the need for so many categories that people have to search through and most likely would not get used anyway? Just a thought.

Part of my plans as the site grows is to try to get a feature that will allow the user to only see new posts in certain forums if they wish.

Aside from which, it's not that much of a distraction at this point with the "view new posts" button, rather than checking every forum for the "new" post tag as we did in YaBB.
