I'm first on the list, but seller is unable to get the model number (???). So, can anyone help me identify these? Despite the low price, I just don't need another pair of mediocre speakers. They look promising, but I need your help!

There is a japanese site with all of Mitsubishi's speakers shown. I can't recall its address, but if you search AK for Mitsubishi you might find the post where I give it.

Have him take the grill off and photograph them. Or have him tell you how much they weigh. Either ought to give you a good idea.

Here's the Japanese link but I think that's a model issued outside Japan since Mitsubishi uses the brand Diatone in the domestic market:

They look rather like the DS 1000Cs (which might be MS 1000C in the US, where they are not Diatones but Mitsubishis). Worth a shot, I would guess.
