Can these amps be hooked up with the marantz 2275 and run together? :scratch2: or should I saY, I am looking on ebay for a vintage marantz amp to accompany my 2275, what would be a good choice?

Of course, a 2275 would make a marvelous preamp for any of those amps.

Yes, you could use multiples as well, just get a rca jack splitter and split to all the amps off pre-out from the 2275. Adjust the gain on each amp individually to match eachother if they are different.

Any of their amps are going to be nice, but the 510 models are superb units.

I am bidding on one on ebay now, it seem's his $flow and karma are a little better than mine. We'll see at the end!

The 250s are great amps. 125 watts per channel, conservatively rated, AND they offer speaker protect relays - something the 510s don't. Nothing wrong with the 510s either, mind you, but you'll spend over twice as much for only 3 dB more "oomph", you'll be dealing with possibly annoying fan noise, and if you forget to incorporate fuses inline with your speaker wires, a 510 could easily shunt 85 volts directly into one of your speakers if it blew a channel... :yikes:
