O.K. I shipped a parts unit out. I think I did a good job of packing it. It arrived with a broken dial window glass. O.K. Hmmmm Lets file a claim on-line then... I did all that ... Got back the e-mail msgs from UPS. Good... No they do not want to see the item.... Good...

This package is now eligible for a claim. UPS chose not to inspect this package. Please now provide UPS with the necessary supporting documents online at http://www.ups.com/claims

O.K. Seems simple enough now... Go back to UPS on-line and give them what they want... O.K. I get to the tracking claims window and see we have moved to the Claim Authorized section. Good... Now read the directions... Seems easy.....

UPS Next Steps
We will send a Claim Form to the shipper.

Your Next Steps
If you have not yet provided your supporting documents to UPS, please do so now. You may send them online, by fax, or by mail. Instructions are provided on the Claim Form. If you do not have a Claim Form you can download and print one by selecting Update Claim and Submit Documents below.

O.K. .... Your Next Steps Looks easy... Now all I have to do is follow the instructions and....If you do not have a Claim Form you can download and print one by selecting Update Claim and Submit Documents below

Now let me find the button / link to the selecting Update Claim and Submit Documents below so that I can do just that....

Hmmmmmmmm Hmmmmmmmm Hmmmmmmmmm Hmmmmmmmm

I see a "dispute claim" link....

I see a "back to preveous" link....

THERE IS NO Update Claim and Submit Documents LINK ANY WHERE THAT I CAN SEE.....

Get them on the phone and deal direct for claims. Take copious photos. Record names, dates, etc. Ship documentation registered. Be prepared to wait long periods...

Enjoy,

Got on the phone and talked to one person who sent me to the tech support folks .... They could not find the link on the page also... Seems that the web site has had some "changes".

I did e-mail CS and got a responce. They will mail me the claim form, but they did not answer my question as to 1. missing link on the page??... OR 2. that the option is no longer avail. and the page is out of dated....

Will see what the instructions are on the claim form when I get it...

You might check the page's source code (View>Page Source) and see if there's a link that's screwed up for some reason. Sometimes the address is there even if it doesn't show up. If it is, you can enter it directly.

Nice trick... Looked around the HTML and did not see a link there... Saw all the other links... Hmmmmm Could this be UPSs sick humor:).... Having their customers looking for non-existent links.... I can see all their programmers snickering about this one:)

No, it's more like poor application design and shoddy QA process. Crappy navigation too. Ah well, it fits in well with the level of expertise elsewhere in the company.
