They finally arrived - all in one pallet.:thmbsp:

When unskidded, there they are - 2 beautiful white boxes, one marked Box 1 of 2, which contained the main amplifier and Box 2 of 2 the tubes (and maybe Owner's manual - at time of writing, yet to unbox).

Managed to open Box 1 of 2 and saw in there the power cord (will replace with the Cardas Golden Reference), 2 pairs of gloves (one extra pair complimentary of Ryan) and a letter from Sidney Corderman. Of course, the Golden colored MC2000 Serial number 746/750. Wow!:D

Will be posting pictures and first impression once set up.

Wow you work fast Jerry.:D

2 weeks and the other side of the world and you already have your MC2000. Almost 2 months and 20 miles away and I'm still working on getting the XRT30 bass cabinets.:sigh:

Enjoy all your new equipment.

You kidding masterlu? This is a NOS sitting at Audio Classics for quite a while before I took notice and bought it without actually much thought - except taking some time to cook a story for my wife to buy in. :D

Think they have another piece, but a used one at B1 grade, which I think you might not consider. I am so sorry to hear about this. Thought you would have a couple since you also bought over a piece of the gold titanium MC275 which you shared with all of us the glory.

This piece, if I am not wrong is exactly the same - gold titanium too except its has 65 watts more output (135 vs 75 on specs). :thmbsp:

Think you still can get NEW one on e-bay some day as understand there are people who hoard it for gains ......

Thanks for the congrats! :thmbsp:

Cheers!

Okay, opened box 2 of 2. In it are the following:

1. Un-numbered Certificate with Sidney Coderman's personal signature (not stamped or printed)in an McIntosh envelope. Wow, the man himself!
2. Warranty papers.
3. Owners Manual (so different from the standard blue copies). This is in white and in full color!
4. Tube box (nice presentation).
5. Power Cord
6. Tube Cage
7. Biasing tools.

I will be having a FREAKING GOOD TIME (sorry for the strong words) with it once set up! Man, this is one solid piece!!! Never felt so good before .....

I am soooo happy ....... :D :D :D

I know this thread is old, but where are the pictures!

I have McIntosh "power trip" poster of the MC2000 signed by Sidney Coderman on my wall. So I hope to get one someday.

:scratch2: To be honest I am not brave enough to buy anything from the bay or audiogon, not unless the buyer is over here and within arm's reach! :D

I guess a hot amp!

We have a 22 x 24 room with 9'ceilings.

Saturday we listened to two albums and then watched a movie (The MC2000 runs the front 2 speakers).

Room temp went up 6 degrees.
