Hi, iīm a complete newbie when it comes to electronical repair, so please bear with my lack of knowledge! Even worse, Iīm german, hope you donīt mind my lack of vocabulary as well.
I have this tuner, and most of it works just fine, bit there are three minor problems:

1) the stereo-light-bulb (orange) doesnīt work. It looks like some kind of rubber-thing from behind. what kind of bulb is that, how can i get it these days, and how do i get it out without breaking it?

2)the built-on antenna (back plastic-thing on the back) doesnīt seem to receive much, if anything at all. Inside there seem to be only 4 cables connected to the antenna of possible 6 ? Does this only appear to be the case, and how could i know whereto to connect the other 2?

3) One fuse is blown, but has been wrapped with tinfoil, is it worth / necessary to replace it? Are they expensive?

I tried to include pics of all problems, hope it worked out!
and hope to hear from you folks, even if you recommend i shouldnīt burn my fingers on it...

1) hard to say what kind of lamp this is. Often, a non-lighting "stereo" lamp iisn't a bad bulb, but rather means the stereo circuit isn't working and may indicate the need for realignment.

2) The built in antenna is for "AM" (MW) only, not for FM.

3) Yes, replace the fuse with the proper fuse!

Thanks for the fast reply! And you even speak german!

to 1) there is a change in sound if i switch from mono to stereo, so it seems to be rather the bulb... ?

to 2) i donīt receive any am-stations! so it seems to be broken anyway. well, thatīs probably the least and most difficult problem. though it can be fun to listen to some strange am-stations in times!

to 3) guess i will! thanks!

I like to DX AM myself in the wintertime. Use a loop or long wire antenna. There are commercial loops or you can make your own. Generally, the AM sections in the popular 1970's and later tuners and receivers are not very good for reception or fidelity, unfortunately.

Someone here will probably be able to identify the bulb.

That orange material you see is hot melt glue. It's purpose is to keep the stereo indicator in place.

Frequently, the indicator is an LED, not a bulb. Before you start pulling on the indicator, get a meter, follow the wires and make sure there is some voltage (use a meter) going to the indicator. If you get voltage, then move off channal and see whether the voltage drops when no stereo signal is present.

Only when you can see that the voltage going to the indicator are working properly would you start pulling on the indicator to remove and replace.
