Helo Everyone, I did some search on fixing skips in vinyl records on this site and couldn't find anything relevant (granted, I didn't spend days looking).

However. I did find an article on the web on the subject here http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/Lobby/7049/skips.htm and I'm interested to know if of you tried this method, or if there is a different (better?) method you know of.

Thanks

Seems like that one would work. I have used an X-acto knife to open a skip in a record, years and years ago, when I could see that sort of thing. Now I just have records in better condition.

I like the concept, it should do very little damage to the groove as the pin should ride along the upper areas of the groove, above the area the stylus usually contacts.

A DJ friend suggested I put a conical stylus on my TT and just manually turn the platter while applying pressure until I get the track to play thru.
