Guess they were Big Box store product from the late 80's-early 90's, prolly $500-600 new. Has anyone ever heard these, and how would they compare to a set of 4301b's?

4301b would smother those LX44. The Lx series was fairly good, but its apples and oranges compared to the 4301. For 50 bucks its a fairly good deal, but they would probably be going in the workshop and not as part of a main rig. The 4301 has a much deeper bottom end IMO.
