Hey guys -
Does anyone here have this album - the sound quality of my pressing (Virgin) is fairly poor - a little too bright and compressed - is it my copy or is it the pressing?
There are some great tracks on here but I think - shock horror - I might have to buy the cd!
Thanks!

Played mine about 4 months back because that song got stuck in my head ever have that happen? Have not played it since new and it sounded very good also notice that I had some other Sparks records and Sniff 'n ' the Tears, all sounded good. Had a Marshall Tucker album that sounded very lifeless and found another of the same in a thrift store bought it and it played like a champ. To answer your question the album when produced was at the top sound wise. It was produced by Giogio Moroder whom knew how make an album come to life. Is your a Electra LP?

No - it's on virgin - perhaps that's the problem!

It is one of those albums that has the highs and lows good separation and kind of show off your speakers in the process. Giorgio Moroder also produced the soundtrack of Midnight Express that as I recall was a rather dramatic album that sounded great.
Are your albums made for the most part there or near you? Or are they shipped in from the original points of production? When I was station in Germany many albums that should have come from the states were made in Germany instead and that can be a good thing too.
Have you checked out the fine forum that Steve Hoffman has? It can be a great place to find out music old and new. http://www.stevehoffman.tv/forums/index.php?
