"Raze It Up" was my joint from Onyx's Shut 'Em Down. As gimmicky as they may have seemed at times, this Queens, NYC-based outfit kept it unabashedly "street" and that's what I think contributed to their massive success between the early to late 90s. Bacdafucup was released in '93 and I'm still quick to turn up the volume on "Throw Ya Gunz." My favorite release by the group is 1995's All We Got Iz Us, with "Shout," "Punkmotherfukaz," and "2 Wrongs" being amongst my absolute favorite tracks by Onyx. Excellent pick.
Constantly on queue in the truck...

I've never been a fan of Boston, the city or its culture, but on the hip-hop front, this fellow is amongst the giants. Between this release and 2011's A Face In the Crowd, "Edo" proves once again that "it's not where you're from - it's where you're at." Ill lyrics/punchlines, tight tracks, and a thoroughly head-bobbing hip-hop album from a great New England-based M.C.
