Pioneer SX-626 Rebuild with some extra's!

Nice find Pat. Looks like that one was hidden in a cupboard or something.
Not even a trace of tarnish on the connectors !
Definitely a keeper.
Nice

Amp board done:
Used Nichicon KG's for the couplers
Added film upgrades
The balance of caps are Nichicon PW and a set of Silmic II.
This unit is in very nice shape and the trimmers were easy to dial in, but knowing they are prone to failure I added Bournes trimmers.

'Looks like another very nice job with the rebuild, Pat.

I continue to enjoy the cap-coupled goodness of the rebuilt Harman Kardon 330B that you sold me. A bonus is a smaller footprint, so the 330B can fit in just about anywhere.

I'm curious. What about the SX-626 - does it have a petite figure also? (The 330B is only 15.75" wide). Thanks.

This is a full size receiver, approx. 18" wide X 14" deep X 5 1/2 high

Thanks for posting this. I have one of these (not as pretty) and I need to update it, this thread will be a reference for the project.

Thank you for providing the dimensions. The 626 looks to be slightly smaller than the 727/828 receivers - one inch less in width and a half inch less in height.
