@LotusFool See the Pig did the adjustment I have been telling you to do with your clamp. post #616[/QUOTE

I was pretty successfully in adjusting my reflex clamp. First let me emphasize that the sota, with the vacuum platter, sounds much better with the reflex clamp, than without. My opinion agrees completely with Mr. Pig with what heard and described.
That being said, I'll be willing to bet, out of 100 folks with a vacuum platter using the the sota reflex, 80 do not achieve any kind of seal between the reflex clamp and record's surface once the vacuum is turned on. If you don't believe me just try to slip a piece of paper under your reflex clamp once your vacuum is on. Post your results here.
According to Donna, my newly installed platter-mat which has that washer affixed should be ready to seal with my reflex clamp without any problem, but I can't get it to seal without the additional washer. Ok, I can do that.
I have adjusted this reflex clamp until I'm blue in the face. Over and over and over again. I do have a good seal now with the vacuum on without pushing down on the clamp 24 lbs.,and it does make a world of improvement, but it has been a huge pita for 4 weeks.
I'll keep at it this week, but unless I can get the reflex clamp to work perfectly every time, I'm getting ready to return it and get something else. I'm too old and have spent too much money to keep screwing around with this clamp!
