Onkyo A10 - Power OK, relay click OK, no sound

Is there a board component diagram in the SM? You basically need to determine which section of the pot goes to which channel. The resistors (one for each channel) strap across the outer legs, and then you jumper one leg to the wiper of each channel. Not positive, but as long as you have the jumpers as depicted in the C- 2 fix, it may not matter since you’re electrically removing the pot in each channel.

No board component diagram - I will try and get the 250k ohm resistors and see if that works, hard enough to come by some 250k ohm resistors.
I did order a little fake alps pot kinda wanted to see if that works first - time is an issue, do not have enough of it, work is busy as hell.

Reddish thank you for your offer to try and rebuild the pot, it is well and truly juiced though i cannot see any way of putting it back together, i have tried it, it is a lost cause!

OK so tried the resistor thing sound only from left channel. So I wired up the massive balance pot, and now have sound on both channels. I might just hide that big pot inside the amp if I can find a suitable place to secure it.

I have questions on the big filter caps, and if I post a list of the transistors I hope you will kindly point to the known trouble makers so I can deal with them.

The dual cap and its connections.
Question - can i just connect the Earth and negative connection, to the negative of the new 27000uf cap?
New caps are normal positive and negative

Here are a list of the transistors- would appreciate if anyone can point to know trouble makers.
Only one i think i heard of is the 2SA726 which can be replaced with KSA992FBU

connect caps ...+-+- ......... take plus from left .negative from right . ground to where they join in the middle .

Sorry Pete i do not follow, apologies.
I connect - (Of cap1) to + (Of cap 2)? In the middle of that connection i connect a ground wire?

so the ground (earth on dual caps gets connected to the middle of a connection between - cap 1 and + cap2)
Remaining positive and negative connections then go as normal to the remaining terminals + cap 1 and - cap 2?

Sorry to belabor everything, dont want to be picking bits of filter cap out of my face!

Perfect - I am going to drop this list of transistors in here again too too - hopefully i can get some input from members here, only looking for any known trouble makers
I would appreciate any help on these, i am hoping i will only need to address the known troublemakers

I replace 1318, 720, and 726 in all of my restores.

I would set it out like this (see pic) your choice but I was planning it i was going to use ~ 15000uf 63v x 4 caps using copper bus bar between groundscap layout.png
