Lodging Question

Went to my first AKfest this year and had a great time.

I am interested in bringing a few of my systems to set up in a room for next year.

My question is....I'm presuming I'm renting that room, but in all the rooms I was in, I saw no bed/mattresses.....

....where do y'all sleep? Do you get two rooms????

How does that work?

Thanks,

j

You get two rooms; a sleeping room like everyone else who stays at the hotel, plus the listening room to set up your stuff.

When you get the listening room, the hotel removes the bed and gives you the extra room. I suppose you could use a sleeping bag and perhaps an inflatable mattress, but I have no idea whether or not the hotel would permit that.

Did anyone sleep in their listening rooms?

Thanks for the info....

...I NEEEEEEEED a bed....

...went to Isle Royale last year for a week...

....LOVED it, BUT....

...the sleeping was as bad as I feared....

...really, REALLY bad!

So, that'd prob. be two rooms for me...

thanks again,

j

I slept in in the SMAC Boi room, just brought a little camping cot and a sleeping bag. I know a couple of other guys got the hotel to deliver a roll away bed to their listening room, there might have been a bit of a surcharge.
