Greetings all.
I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. Actually, I joined about a month ago but got side-tracked while waiting for ability to post. Vintage hi-fi has been a hobby for about 7 years now. My personal system has consisted of a rebuilt, Scott 310-E tuner, Luxman PD-264 turntable, Mapleshade modded 222-D, Sam's Audio Lab modded Heathkit AA-151, Magnepan SMGa and Kef 104/2 speakers. (Also, in process of getting an old Tandberg reel-to-reel up and running.)
Most recently, I have become the proud owner of a Kenwood (Supreme) Model 500 Integrated Amp. It does sound good but not world class (as I've read on this forum). I would greatly appreciate if one of the experts could tell me 1) what updates are necessary, 2) who can do the work (I live in MA near RI) and 3) if an amateur (such as myself) could do it .
