Turns out the DM16 pair beautifully with the 9WPC Raphaelite ES30 (300B) tube integrated amplifier. I've absolutely no idea how this low powered amp can sound so incredible with such average efficiency speakers. It's one of the best combinations I've heard yet.

Or for me old tech has caught up.... Running an Absolute Audio Labs SIT-A15 SE power amp with runs Tokin VFET output devices. If I run a nice DHT tube preamp I honestly cannot hear the difference between it and the best tube gear except for better treble extension and deeper more authorative...

Largely very low production numbers with these brands. Absolute Audio Labs gear, the pre is one of 5 globally, the power amp is the only one built to this spec though there are I believe less than 10 SIT-A15 been built all up. Creation Audio custom built my wardrobe sized bass reflex cabinets...

Many times..... solid core Duelund (copper twisted with silver) and Mundorf Angelique CAW wire is primarily what I used rewiring inside speakers and audio components. For RCA and speaker cables though FoiFlex all the way ;) Course capacitor upgrades can make an even larger improvement...

Well, the best R2R I've tried in my system to date is the AudioGD R7HE Mk2 though an honorable mention goes to the Accurate Audio Ultimate D1000..... More a difference in sonic preference though. I can easily see many running tube amp or preamps preferring the D1000.

Sorry about the slow response. I don't jump on AK more than once every couple of months. Yes, far superior in terms of sonics. That said you really need to open it up as there's a pair of OPAMPS which do some power regulation which are too close to some metal plates which in my friends case...

Mine are 2061 and 2062 so quite a bit later. Doesn't seem to have the burnt/singled looking ceramic resistors many of these seem to have.
