sorry, i didn't see that you had responded. ended up buying a harmony 650 remote. it has the codes you can upload from the web.
another question, i have to set the balance off to one side aways to get the image in the center. wasn't that way with the old pre amp. is this problem, should it be fixed.

Sorry to be slow getting back with you, I just noticed your post. If you do not have any luck finding a remote to operate your 28k you could always buy a universal learning remote. You know, one of the types that has the capability to be placed end to end with a remote you want to directly learn the codes from. Send it to me and I'll program it using my 28k remote and send it back to you.
