Greetings to you, too. The SL-M3 is a bit of a marvel, isn't it. I hate using the word "rare"; but, at least in the USA, it certainly seems to be that. And to think, there's another one in this state.
At first I was using a Shure M111E. Maybe it was just my cartridge; but the channel balance was really kind of off and, to me, the presentation was soft. The dimensions didn't play nice with the decks stylus/cartridge guard. I had to remove it otherwise it would hit when the tonearm docked. I switched to an old Audio Technica VS245LP. This brought back the propper channel balance but still lacked a little bass. I then went to an Audio Technica AT331LP. After break in, I'm really happy with this cartridge. It's been a few years with it.
