Got a Favorite AK Thread? A kind of Mini-Forum? Post About It Here

i spend a couple hours a day reading here
and i'm not in a need to upgrade equipment right now so for me its about the music

DeeCee nailed it

"What Are You Listening To Right Now?"... Simply the best thread ever. Minimal snark. Bizarre since of humor. People truly LOVE music there and remember that audio is the beginning of the journey and not the end. Best of all everybody cares for one another (I've seen less camaraderie in some churches.)

Then again, on the darker side they are keeping me broke with awesome musical suggestions (sigh )

Happy Listening!

Then, anything Econowave, JBL, Altec.

Dave G always has good tube stuff
All the music threads with Youtube links are fun to listen to.
Any DIY.

It's all here

Music Forums: maybe a dozen (or more -- I use a LOT of 'em) threads therein.
Musical Instruments Forums: darned near every thread.

What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

I like this thread and visit it often because I've always loved music and within this thread, I'm being introduced to music I knew nothing about before.

A gentleman in a music store stated "If there were more love for music out there, the world would be a much better place" and I believe that.

Too many special members to make mention of that hang out there. They're all special and great people in my opinion.

I mostly hang out in the gaming threads. Some fun, interesting, and sometimes humorous stuff going on in there. I only have modest sound systems, no where near the level of some I have read about here, so I really can't contribute at that level. I do admit this is a fun place to hang out.

There really are so many great threads on AK it is hard to pick. Lately, I spend most of time in the gaming threads.

Some of my favorite game threads:

This one really cracks me up:

This one is fairly new to me, funny too:

The food and beverage threads are at the top of my favorites too.

This being my #1 food thread:
https://audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?threads/show-us-your-dinner-home-cooking-only-please.696992/

I like the pooch thread too. Though, it's been somewhat dormant lately:
https://audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?threads/dogs-rock-post-yer-pooch.854992/page-25

I "cut my teeth" on this one when I joined AK:

Then @Musicfan#51 popped in and told me about what is now, AK's most popular thread. I consider this my home thread, although I've not participated there near as much in the past 6-8 months:

I was even trending the progress for a while, but stopped..

AK has really great members. So many nice folks here. Thanks for starting this thread, Rich. I can't believe this is my first time seeing it.

What are you listening to right now is one of my favorites, always makes me have to go and find yet another great song, as well as various today's....Funk, Blues, etc...playlists.
Generally, I spend most of my time in the speaker forum, but enjoy so many others, I'm not going to list them all and bore you all!

My favourite is, What are you listening to right now? Disappointingly I Can't find my favourite contributer, Beau Gueste, his classical music recommendations were fantastic. I could spend the whole evening following his listening list. Especially liked that he linked to YouTube content.

His jazz selections were pretty good as well.
