Christmas Conundrum

A friend of mine has that exact gadget in box from that period. Its never been opened.Up at camp we have the original veg-a matic!

That's funny. I've got a Veg-O-Matic new in the box in my basement that I picked up at GW Buy the Pound. Small world.

I'll see your Pocket Fisherman and Vegomatic, and raise you a Billy Bass ...

Ya know - those silly things are selling as collectibles for around $100 now. Good grief!!

My problem is the same as the OP's. Other than really expensive things that I don't want the kids (or wife) buying me, there's really nothing to suggest. Time with the kids is the most satisfying Christmas gift..
My wife bought her own Christmas present - a cake-decorating turntable - and told me that's all she wants. I'm not that gullible. So she's getting a Lee Valley 51 Piece Micro-Tool Set to go with her new interest in fixing clocks. When I'm stumped for birthdays, etc., tools are a go-to and never disappoint. She is a gem who doesn't desire gems.
