My first foray into Yamaha - brought it home just today! Tuner has issues, but I've been to the "Cleaning an analog tuner" sticky in the Tuner forum and cleaning will commence soon. I'm otherwise quite impressed with this receiver!

Congratulations jchilds, the CR-2040 is a terrific receiver. It's arguably the best sounding receiver Yamaha made.

Thanks Mark. Yes both of the B-2's have been restored.
Currently the rest of the system consists of Yamaha C-50, Marantz DV 6600, Denon DP-35F and Electro-Voice Interface D's.

I just picked up a CR-220 as well, It needs bulbs, has a few small scratches, and needs a good cleaning inside but it sounds real nice for 15 wpc. And the best thing, It was free.

This A-S1100 showed up at my home last Friday. It has displaced the Exposure S2010s2 that I have had for the past couple of years. Which is for sale now. I had been reading about the A-S1100, A-S2100 and the A-S3000 for the past couple of months and I had been waiting to find a deal. Amazon had a deal last week and I clicked that Buy Now button.
