  • Following my post, some members say 1200 hz, others 3000 hz, same thing on Pioneer documents !
To improve these speakers but keeping their "spirit", I'll recap the crossovers and change the cut-off values (boomer and mid-range) as you done
Before beginning, I want to solve the question 1200 hz or 3000 hz on the first version because SWN117 and SW158 are identical (only phase inverted on tweeter) ??
    Thanks
    Hi,
I have a pair of Pioneer HPM 100 first version 50/100 W so the crossover is the SWN 117, I think .
On the paper on the back I can read 3000 hz for the woofer crossover point, it's must be 1200 hz, mistake or not ?
SWN 158 crossover (100/200 W version) cuts at 3000 hz with the same components !!
I want to understand because I want to improve my speakers especially the mid-range
Can you help me , thanks

Hello, I have a friend that is wanting to have his Pioneer SA 9800 amp repaired, serviced and tuned up. According to him, there is a hum coming out of either side of the outputs. Would anyone happen to know if there is someone who would be interested in servicing and repairing it?
I'm still looking for someone that can possibly fix my Hitachi HMA 8300. I was in this group a few years ago, under a different name ( I keep getting rehacked) texting would honestly be the best way for communication because of the nonstop hacking. If I'm allowed, I'll put my # out? It was 'Mattsd' who I had interacted with. (Six 0 three) 3 one 3 -0 six 6 five
Can you send me a private message, I would like to talk to you about three units I have that need work. Two amps, one receiver. Later down the road another amp possibly. Two cassettes and an RT909.

Hey Mattsd, would you happen to have an up to date spec 1 and spec 2 caps/transistors list? I'll be making a mouser order Friday and want to get the most up to date parts list. Thanks.
    Hi Mattsd,

Awesome job on the 1980 restore in 2012 . Recently ran across one in Immaculate but no sound condition. Anyway, good job!

    PM me for details.
Matt - do you offer Spec 4 amp complete restoration. I have one and the speaker protection relays stay engaged. I've had supposedly "repaired" twice already and I'm about ready to give up and sell off the parts. I'd like to give it one more shot but I think it needs to be completely restored. Let me know.

I do offer complete restorations, let's take this to PM.
Gets in line.... I really loved your posts about restoring your SX-1250. I was hoping you could restore mine. Please contact here on Audiokarma or via email - jpclyons AT gmail.com

I am actually planning to visit St. Louis and Kansas City this summer. I could drop it off then. Of course I would pay for shipping back to me in PA.

Anyway, would love to hear my SX-1250 as it once was!
Hey Matt, I've recently gotten a hold of a Pioneer Sx 1250 that I'd like to have repaired and restored. Currently the receiver gives sound only from right channel, and I haven't had a chance to treat it with DeOxit. If you think you'd be able to help, shoot me an email at alexhiller98@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing back, and have a nice day!
Hi Matt, I'm in need of having my SX-1250 recapped and adjusted. Are you interested and would you have time to go through this? Thanks Much

I'm located in the UK and would like your assistance please. I am the proud guardian of a Pioneer SX-1980 UK 240v version.
Problem is, that in the UK, we do not have many specialised technicians advertising.Would you know of any specialists - like yourself - that you may recommend or have knowledge of in the UK?

Sadly no, I don't know of anyone who would be able to take it on in the UK.

I just came across this...and see that I can post a comment. I will ask a friend in England if he knows anyone.

I was perusing this area...as I own a SX-1250...and was checking you out. You sound BUSY!

I'll post a PM to Idunno.
