The Jensen pot is from 1950’s I believe. That’s why I didn’t think it was for early Jensen Q field coil speakers.

Recapping JBL monitors. Original cap values 14uf & 3uf. Is it possible for 3uf to drift up to 14uf over 40 years? Seems if it drifted it would go down in value.

it’s been said that first 4310 versions didn’t use a crossover, but I think first very early version used crossover, only the early crossover did not have a model number.

Wow thanks for all replies. Why is it that L65 value is about the same as 4430 if they don’t compare sound wise?

I have original pair of 4430 overall ok condition. I have someone locally offering pair of L65 in pretty good shape. Should I trade and equal value?

Post #9 first pic- all you have to do is run a wire from top 2 rivet lug posts and a separate wire ran from bottom 2 rivet lug posts to fix ground issue?

Sounds like you may like a later style speaker than 604s if bass is used with them. 604 for certain types of music and 250 handle rock better
