Looking for a list of makers of portable cassette players which were built in the States. I would imagine most will be in the 1965-68 era since Japan production dominated the market very quickly in the late 60s.

Those 3" open reel portables of the '60s didn't stand a chance with the advent of 8-track & cassette recorders which dominated the market by 1968-9. My question is; when were the last mass market open 3" reel portables sold ? Here is a pretty neat U.S. made GE M8080, circa 1967...

The KLH models 14 & 14B and the 15 & 19 are dual driver speakers. The pair look like the model 11 or the model 21 extension speaker or even the model 50, which were all single driver units. All of these KLH's would be 14 inches tall.
