2022 update: two pairs of MC30 stayed in the house, one pair were restored to original specs, and one pair were restored to Yamazaki version (according to Jeff Days article). IMHO, MC30 is the pinnacle of McIntosh, a few with passion and soul. It is a shame that McIntosh can't out do itself...

Belden is a better choice than Mogami, Mogami sounds nothing special, Belden 8420 sound more like real music with great tone BUT compare to Duelund 16GA, Belden sounded less dynamic and transparent, I blame on the shield. Duelund sounds less "correct" than Belden.

The worst: Any low-grade Chinese and Russian tubes are junk. I order amps without tubes whenever I can. High-grade Chinese tubes are great, I had really good musical luck, not mechanical luck though, with Pasvne 845 and KT88.
