"Static concussion grenade into my ear" My guess is it may not be static you hear. It's a touchy vibrational short possibly caused by speaker vibrations. I would check the speaker connections.

To much heat behind the dash. but could maybe attach inside in front of the sunroof with a reverse Ram Air vent leading over the top of your 1250 when your kicking 182Wpc. Just gotta make sure you pull over to change the channel.

You can fix the PL-610 the same way and have two. Its not so much about replacing manual parts that are not working correctly as I think it's more about restore, refurbish and renew. Maintenance was probably never done. Now is the time.

If it moves the platter bearing and spindle need oil. Also oil the the motor bearings. Which you may have to take apart. BUT there may be a small hole at the bottom of the motor to squirt the fine oil in. Check the belt if its belt driven.

First thing I think you should do is take up the platter and fine oil the bearing so you can hear if it plays an album and troubleshoot from there. Only then will you know if it needs more service.

Half your enclosure is installed in the back window. But you have to make sure a tight seal on the trunk too. That's the other half of the enclosure. Unless your Ride is painted black I don't believe there's a problem with heat. I would put covers on so the sun is less likely to bleach the paper...

It sounds like a short somewhere to me. I would suggest you troubleshoot by unhooking everything and hook the speakers alone directly to the Technics SU-V4X. Then add each extra component you have until you find which one is causing the problem.
