Probably not a good thing the power switch in my C-2 is making a tiny sizzling noise?

Well, several hours later, the power switch is replaced. effing tape selector still on list to-do list. New Omron needed some trimming/bending of tabs, for clearance. Old Omron (Made in Japan) shows it's solder tabs, shows infinite resistance when closed.

Probably not a good thing the power switch in my C-2 is making a tiny sizzling noise?

but the switch is only on when held by the complicated lever mechanism. It's NOT off-on/on-off https://audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?attachments/20211214_010832-jpg.2421750/ Like I asked. Maybe I'm missing something.

Probably not a good thing the power switch in my C-2 is making a tiny sizzling noise?

no issues with the length of the lugs in C2 ? 21A Omron "solder lugs" will be longer than the original style, and the lugs stick up/down..... ? I'm probably worrying too much. Omron V-10-3A4 ?? https://www.mouser.ca/ProductDetail/Omron-Electronics/V-10-3A4?qs=EttmAozsTQzhM81VIIxOhw== oh...

Probably not a good thing the power switch in my C-2 is making a tiny sizzling noise? I'd like to someday not have to fix things, but I guess that's a fraction of the fun. Would I be close in thinking it's the microswitch being unhappy? Still haven't figured out why the tape-in is...

    Diode Parts List Question

Um, the 1N4002 and 1N4003 diodes are the ones that match the spec, if the VRRM 100V & 200V values matter. One might even prefer fast recovery diodes as this is in the regulated power supply, but I'm not an elec. eng. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1N400x_general-purpose_diode
