Is anyone familiar with the new optical cartridges? So many MM and MC cartridges that scrape the groove and after so many plays the info is damaged. What about optical tracing that doesn't touch the groove? I need a new set up on my PX-3 and wonder if optical is better?

First off you have what appears to be co-polymer cones. That was a response to humidity and the paper cones absorbing moisture and changing the sound. Great idea but the added weight dulled the transients. You can't go wrong with ADS so rest assured they will sound better than most.
