My Golden Classic does not have the GE logo. Forget about finding a decent stylus. They have not been in production for decades.

    Old Stereo Cartridge ID request

Not a VR 1000. The Golden Classic and VR-22 look the same. My VR 22 has the model number on the body. I have one Golden Classic, one VR-22 and two VR 1000's. It is most likely a Golden Classic which was the first stereo model. The VR 1000 was the last and best GE model.

Hi Max. I probably had a Duotone 851d at some point. The only needles that I had any luck with on a volume basis were the VR 1000 needles made by Walco. There are two sellers of these on eBay at the moment. I have zero stock here. I have been out of VR 1000 needles for quite some time. I hope...

There are so many other sites that you can check: turntableneedles.com lpgear.com lptunes.com eBay Jico-stylus.com Any of the 770's listed at The Voice of Music would work. The 770-DET would be my choice. Some of the others are probably quite old.

I asked OpenAi about tracking force...

I don't think 3.0 grams is too high for a conical stylus if it is at least a 0.7 mil. I would not use a 0.5 mil at 3 grams. Some elliptical styli are used at 3.0 grams. It depends on the tip profile.

    Stanton 681S Cartridge

Ah...no. If you look at TVOM listing for the Pfanstiehl 4825, it indicates not available and suggests the 4822 as a substitute. All Swiss mag needles are MM. Japan supplies both MM and MI.

    Stanton 681S Cartridge

The stylus that I recommended will work in the 881S as you probably have already seen on TVOM website.
