If you already had W10 installed and it was activated (even an upgrade from W7) you can skip the part where it asks for a key as Microsoft will recognise your PC and activate it anyway. I've done it with 2 different PC's at home and they are working without a hitch. HTH

I'm a Gilmour fan as well. Saw Pink Floyd when they toured with "The Wall" back in the day at Earls court in London. What an amazing night! Wish I still had the ticket stub.

I use B&W P7's (love them). They are driven by a Graham Slee headphone amp.

Still using my original Planer 3. Heavily modded and I'd never change it.

There is a youtube channel called Mr Carlsons Lab and he has a video about exactly this. He also provided the reasons why it happens and also a solution. Might be worth a look. The guy is an electronics/valve guru. I just love watching him repair stuff.

Myself and a couple of friends use the Nagaoka MP-500. The tables range form Rega to Linn Sondek. Great cart. IMHO about as good as it gets for MM.

Not surprised. I was recently talking to a young chap at work (who looks so like Steven Wilson BTW) and subject got to vinyl. We talked about what we both liked etc. He said he bought about 3 or 4 albums a month. I asked him what he played them on and told me he didn't have a record player / TT...
