Lost out on Pioneer SX-838 Receiver

Amazing that a small lamp would be so difficult to replace. How much do the lamps usually cost. Thanks

Lost out on Pioneer SX-838 Receiver

The 939 sounds nice. The current bid is up to 80 dollars. The 737 I bid on is only 35 dollars so far. Comments on the 737 from the seller I have owned this awsome reciever since 1975, it is in perfect working condition and cosmetically perfect, no scratches. When I just went to take a...

Lost out on Pioneer SX-838 Receiver

I'm getting a tad impatient to get my 1st vintage stereo and the pickings are mighty slim on ebay right now. Should I gamble and take a chance with a Fisher 250 receiver that has a starting bid of 9.95. How good are these units. Will it come close to the performance of a Pioneer sx-838. Maybe I...

Lost out on Pioneer SX-838 Receiver

I am really upset that I could have got a very nice sx 838 off ebay for 65 plus shipping. I decided to pass on the Sony 745 because the sx 838 seems to have all the features I want plus a great tuner. Just have to wait until another one comes along.

    Sony str 7045 receiver

I have a bid on this clean looking receiver on ebay. Would this be a good buy if I can get it for under 100.00. I lost out on a almost mint str 7065 that sold for 150.00. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=50596&item=5707586971&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

    Realistic sta-95 receiver

Does anyone feel this would be a good investment for the money. I have read that many Realistic receivers have pretty strong tuners to boot. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5706998329

    Sansui tu-999

Hi, new to vintage audio. What is your opinion of a Sansui tu-999 as a first tuner for a newbie. I am watching this one on ebay. What components would be good compliments to this unit. Thanks http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5706244987&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
