Purchased a SL-1610 Friday Afternoon at the local Feed &Seed/Antique store! Runs fairly well, a bit wonky putting the Cart down in the correct place in Auto mode. Already read the threads here and on VE on how to fix it, and will try later this week. Works perfectly in manual mode, steady speed...

An hour after my last post I found a Technics SL-1610 at the Feed and Seed/Antique store. Nice shape, inexpensive. Listened to several albums last evening. :banana:

Got a 1700 arm on the way. Hopefully, things will work out. The only Local shop that sells gear (Mostly used) is closed. Can't find any halfway decent tables at Goodwill, etc. So I wait. Thanks to everyone who has helped in my thread. It is truly appreciated. Now.....if ya got a cheap decent...

Well the plastic tube for the tonearm weight snapped off during shipping. I dunno if I can fix it. I dunno if I want to. 2 big gouges on the tonearm as well. I'll do a further investigation in a bit.
