If you're looking for good bass for modern music, you might want to look elsewhere. I gave up on these tube amps. They sound terrific with classic rock and acoustic, but that isn't what I listen to as much, so it didn't suit my needs. Enjoy whatever music you want to listen to!

Yeah, the lower power did make me question a bit. For the music I listen to, I find the TPA32xx to work better than the TPA31xx. I am hoping the Infineon has more bass.

I caved and got the DA-9 :) I wondered about the DA-8 or SA300, which are also both on sale (significantly cheaper) and Infineon based. The DA-9 is a bit more powerful, dual chips, and supposedly a better power supply, perhaps more.

It looks like the DA-9, DA-8, and SA300 are all on a bit of a sale at Amazon right now. I am really tempted to try one! I have so many TPA3xxx-based amps though :)

Best is very subjective. Likely the Volt-D for the TPA31xx series. Word is still out on the TPA32xx series. My experience is the current pre-built options are more alike than different. I have 3 and they sound the same to me.

Aliexpress does have listings too. That said, I really only listen to my TPA3251/TPA3255 amps these days. This one was fun and looks cool, but doesn't put out the bass that the music I listen to needs.
