Your rail voltages are dependent on what comes out of your wall. What part of the world do you live? I get a consistent 110 volts out of my wall here in the pacific northwest. The only thing it will affect is the capacitors on those boards, but the same applies to the rest of the stereo these...

You are wrong on the fan cooling this amp did not even have the inline fuse for the speakers I think it was Mr. Chous pre birth of an amp this amp is garbage I see why they upgraded it this one does not have the upgrades (serial number 1)

This amp is a piece of shit without specs to adjust the dc current and bias voltage. Its going to the dump I might save the heat sinks tho

I have a cm labs 914a and it sounds great is it a keeper or a sleeper? I paid 40 on fleabay for it just needed new outputs on one side sounds good to me it puts out some power

Also the pictures that I can find of this amp it shows diodes on the circuit board on top of the huge capacitors but my amp does not have them it only has one pot per side for the idle current as well.

My amp has a single 7 amp fuse for the power supply inside the amp your amp has 2 speaker protection fuses rated at 3 amp ,mine does not maybe an earlier model?

Hello there I have one of these CM Labs 914a amps in pristine condition / it sure sounds sweet and loud.

On my board set up I left pin 30 unhooked ( 67 volt ) not needed on the boards that I bought / but I see you are looking at the other board solution so I cant tell you what to do with that one.

Please don't take this question the wrong way but nobody has suggested it yet,but have you tried a different set of speakers?

Awesome noodles gotta keep this thread going. No reason to keep these gems from the past not working if we can find good solutions to the old amp sections that fail. In my case I found a board that has double protection beyond Kenwoods protection circuitry.

I do have a Kenwood kr-9600 all original untouched but I will not play above 10 watts because of the fear of blowing out the original ta-200w chips. Very unsatisfying because 160 watts is better than 10 watts
