    Bose 601 series i

As a former owner of a pair of 601 series 2, you must obtain 4 stock woofers and THEN give them the gas. One of the more entertaining speakers I had pass through my hands.

Most Underrated Album from the Mid-1980s

I cannot talk enough about several great albums from that era. Faster Pussycat's eponymous release was a tip of the hat to classic Aerosmith before they had come back from oblivion. Every track is simple, yet infectiously fun. Sea Hags, also eponymous, was superb. Dark, gritty bluesy...

    Fun Factoid Of The Day

Bumblebees are able to fly because their insane wing speed creates its own high pressure air, thereby creating lift. Bonkers, man.

    Fun Factoid Of The Day

Example of a non-musical variety? Did you know that the Three Gorges Dam in China literally slowed the Earth's rotation? Yeah, it was a tiny amount, but, damn! I thought that only happened in Superman (with Christopher Reeve). Who knew? ;)

    Fun Factoid Of The Day

Hello everyone! The rule is as follows - post a "factoid" you heard somewhere, read somewhere, or otherwise think might be both entertaining AND accurate. No need to goalkeep this one, but please adhere to posting what you believe is true, and of course, no politics, religion, or other...

    Revitalizing AK

Entropy swallows all, but I don't think we're there yet. I used to be a participant of Red Pepper Racing, a board for us CRX enthusiasts. As the cars became more and more rare, the participation dropped. It's just a shell, now. However, I think we'll be fine for the time being. As I...

Who is going to win the Mike Tyson versus Jake Paul fight?

Truth, right there. Watch that Bowe/Holyfield fight where Bowe hit him (and Bowe was a SUPERB heavyweight) and you see Evander turn clumsily about 90 degrees.....but then rides it out and comes back. One of my ALL-TIME favorite fighting moments. To me, that's right up there with the best.

Who is going to win the Mike Tyson versus Jake Paul fight?

While the heavyweight division is truly a sludge pit, may I recommend some lower-tier weight classes? Naoya Inoue is an absolute demon. There are countless other small guys who are amazing. Gervonta Davis is like a pocket size Mike Tyson.

Who is going to win the Mike Tyson versus Jake Paul fight?

Grew up loving Iron Mike, and still love him today. The man has climbed to the top from nothing, been back at the bottom, and emerged some bizarre Philosopher with a lisp. No joke, the guy could be another old fighter, slurring his words, but Mike reads, man. He is continually quoting the...

    Happy St. Patrick’s Day

@Pio1980 Great pic, my man. same to @djnagle as well. Me, I had to go to the wife's family plot, remove the deck from our old Craftsman mower, which had a shattered spindle, and bring it back and put the 1/2'' impact on that dude. Parts need ordering, so that project is stalled. I have...

The final curtain - Mama finally passed away

I been there with Dad, and am there still with Mom. So, I somewhat understand. Clearly, you were blessed with an extraordinary mother, and had a very long time to enjoy her presence. Reflect on the good times, my man.

Dilemma: stay vintage or go modern?

Same here, I'm 51, and would love to see someone enjoy things I got laying about. Hell, I'd likely give it away if I could find that someone.

Dilemma: stay vintage or go modern?

I began this trek decades ago, more or less, and got focused hardcore around 2004. Twenty years later, after scratching that whole "I could only dream of owning this piece back then" itch, a few hard-won restorations, shipping nightmares, excessive spl's, and beautiful gear that gathered dust...

First AK Fest was 20 years ago, Feb 21, 2004

Somewhere, I have the footage I took from that AKFest (2008). Perhaps I should dig it out, ditch the audio (cause it is likely the sound of my jaw repeatedly bouncing off the floor) and post it here. Like I stated, so many goodies. :eek:o_O:rockon:

I am having a religious experience; Masters of The Air. Episodes 1&2

One day back in 2000 or so, perhaps 2001, an old fella with a trachea hole came into our gym. Because of this very off-putting necessity, the little old fella was ignored by the staff. I don't care about such, so I went up to him one day and introduced myself (I was staff, so, it was...
