I remember my first "Real" turntable, a direct drive Dual with an Empire 2000 E I with the translucent green flip down stylus guard. Paid about $200 for both at Crazy Eddies. Before that it was a Sound Design Tuner, 8-Track Phono combination.
The 440 D arrived. Long tapered cantilever with a nude diamond. With my hand held scope and eye sight it is hard to make out the exact cut of the diamond. Will keep trying.
